Obituary for Mark E. Ham
Mark Ham, 60, Kansas City, MO passed away May 1, 2013 at his home. Memorial services will be 7:00 PM Thursday May 9, 2013 at Souder Family Funeral Home 1333 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City, MO 64155 with a visitation from 6-7PM. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to offset funeral expenses.
The Ham family owned Community Market in Kansas City, Kansas and Mark grew up working at the store. He continued as a grocer and was last employed by Festival Foods in Kansas City, MO. Mark has a way with children. He was close to his many nephews and nieces and some were even more like brothers. They and the next generation of great nephews, nieces and cousins will grieve his loss. He was affectionately known by them as "GUM" which stands for their Great Uncle Mark. He enjoyed the happy family times and they were all grateful he was able to attend a family wedding on April 20. He was looking forward to attending another of his great nieces graduation this May.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd E. and Vivian Ham; brothers, Floyd M. Ham and P. Milton Ham. He is survived by his sisters, Vivian Epson Deck, Lois Kuzma and Linda Sherry; his many nephews, nieces, cousins, great nephew and great nieces; step-sons, Matthew, Billy and Alan Smith...
