Obituary for Celia Lynn Crist
CELIA LYNN CRIST
Celia Lynn Crist passed away March 13, 2013, after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born October 21, 1946, to Calvin K. and Geraldine C. Hamilton, in a rural farm house near Caplinger Mills, Missouri. She graduated from Park Hill High School in 1964 and later from, St. Mary’s University. Lynn worked for Halls department store in Crown Center and retired in 2011.
Lynn is survived by her parents, Calvin and Gerry Hamilton of Weatherby Lake, MO; her beloved son, Scott Crist of Dallas, Texas; her loving sister and brother-in-law, Sabina and Harry Taute of Springville, UT, her nephews and nieces that she adored immensely, Justin and Regina Taute of Dallas, Texas, Kyle Taute and Leslie Taute, both of Springville, UT, along with several aunts, uncles and numerous friends.
Lynn was always respected and highly regarded by her family members, the leadership and congregation of the Harmony Vineyard Church, and by her many friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Lynn led by Godly example and blessed those lives she touched. She enjoyed every moment spent with her family and demonstrated a special kind of love for each member. Lynn’s passing leaves a void in the life of each member of her family and many friends that can never be filled. Her place in our lives is now empty but her family and friends sorrow not, for we know that she has only moved to a better place - a place where sorrow and death do not exist. We will meet her again in heaven.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 on Saturday, March 23, 2013 and a memorial service will commence immediately afterwards at 1:30 at the Souder Family Funeral Home, 1333 NE Barry Road, Kansas City Missouri. There will be an internment to follow at the Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery, 801 NW 108th Street Kansas City, Missouri.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Lynn’s honor to the Darrel Bland Sertoma Club, PO Box 34625, North Kanas City, MO, 64116.
