Obituary for Rayona Marilyn Harvey
Rayona Marilyn Harvey passed away on March 6, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born February 17, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas.
Rayona worked as a cashier at multiple grocery stores in her career and was also a union steward. A talented painter for over 40 years, Rayona also liked watching her birds in the many bird houses she had outside her windows. She recovered having polio as a child. Her post-polio syndrome affected her throughout her adult life. She educated herself in coping with this the best she could.
Rayona is survived by her four children:
Daughter Kimberly Harvey, her daughter Korissa (Garret) Robertson, their children, Kamden and Kira Robertson; daughter Kelsey Moore, her children, Parker and Chloe Moore.
Daughter Karey Harvey-Kincaid.
Daughter Arona (Ed) Ash, her son Scott (Jamie) Phalp and their children Makayla and Raylan Phalp; daughter LeeMarie(Tobias) Smith.
Son Jeff Harvey and his daughters Nichole and Kelly Harvey.
She is also survived by brother, Robert “Bobby” (Joyce) Wallace and his children Willie Wallace and Sara (Jason) Garrett; sister, Jane (Claud) Johns, and their daughters, Tammy (Clif) Beckley, and Lin Ann Richard Johns.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aro Harvey and granddaughter Aubrey Lynne Phalp. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her well.

The family will receive friends April 2, 2022 from 10-11am for visitation at the funeral home with a “Celebration of Life” from 11-12Noon at Souder Family Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO.
