Obituary for Ronald Dean Hammond
Ronald Dean Hammond, 58, passed away Monday July 11, 2016. A visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday July 15, 2016 at Souder Family Funeral Home. There will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Ronald Hammond Memorial Fund to help offset funeral expenses.
Ron was a truck driver for Macy's, Beaufort Transfer, and was currently driving for YRC Freight. He was a member of Teamsters Local 41 for 28 years and was an avid bowler, and fisherman. He was a sportsman and enjoyed Nascar, the Royals, and a big Chiefs fan. But mostly, Ron was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Hammond and Barbara Murray and brother, Randall Hammond. Survivors include his beloved wife, Cindy Hammond; son, Ronald F. Hammond and wife, Stacey; daughters, Sabrina Hammond and Rita Hammond; siblings, Rickland Hammond, Rita Neselroad and Richard Hammond; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
