William Biggerstaff, 74, passed away May 25, 2017 at NorthCare Hospice House. A celebration of life service will be 12-6PM July 1, 2017 at Macken Park in North Kansas City.
Bill was born October 8, 1942 in Butler, Missouri. He was a public servant for North Kansas City for over 46 years. He was a fireman for 4 years, a police officer for 21 years and was Chief of Police for 12 years, was on the City Council for 4 years and served as the Mayor for 4 years. He also served in the United States Navy for 6 years, was a little league soccer coach, went on dental mission trips to Jamaica for 18 years, volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 8 years, and was a member of the Rotary Club and Masonic Lodge.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Harold Biggerstaff and a grandson Dustin Hull. Survivors include his wife Charlotte; mother, Evelyn; children, Mark (Jill) Hull, Mendy Hull, Terry Hull, Darin (Cheryl) Hull, Marsha (Mark) Segonas, and Robert Biggerstaff; sister, Brenda; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of gifts or flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Children's Mercy Hospital or to Wounded Warriors.
