Sue Sherwood, 83, of North Kansas City MO passed away peacefully early the morning on July 4, 2024. Sue was born in Dawn Missouri, July 12 1940 to the late Sue Rehorn and Thomas Rehorn. Sue was also preceded in death by her older brother Thomas Rehorn Jr.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place July 13 at the Souder Family Funeral Home; 1333 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City MO 64155 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm
Sue built her life in Liberty MO where she was a devoted wife and mother to her two sons. In 1982 Sue started a cleaning company, Fresh as a Daisy. Sue developed her cleaning company into a thriving commercial business that employed numerous people through the years and positively impacted many in the community. As a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, Sue’s class, decorum and sense of determination was an example to all that knew her. Once she moved to the North Kansas City area, along with running her company until she was 81, she also devoted 14 years volunteering for the North Kansas City chapter of Soroptimist Club International. This not-for-profit charity organization provides women and girls access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Sue is survived by her sons, Shawn and wife Jenny of Dallas TX, and Jeff and wife Laurel of Kansas City MO. Sue also has a total of 6 grandchildren: Hillary Bell married to Ricky Bell, Abigail Kraatz married to Brett Kraatz, Morgan Franklin married to Richard Franklin, Macy McGee, Zachary Sherwood and Addison Sherwood. Lastly her beloved dog and companion Cosmo.
