Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of Sandra. This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
Sandra Lee Bloom, age 79, went to her heavenly home on February 2, 2023. Sandra was born on May 4, 1943, in Lehighton, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Avril Bloom.
Sandra came to know the Lord in 1976 and served him faithfully. Her great passion was teaching women’s Bible studies, which she did for over 20 years. Her favorite book to teach was Romans, as it summarizes who God is, what He has done for us through Jesus Christ, and how faith in Jesus creates a path to righteousness.
She was witty, intelligent and talented. She adored her grandchildren. God gave Sandra a deep love of people; she loved to fellowship with others and gave the absolute best hugs to everyone she could. Sandra enjoyed hosting family and friends at her home. She taught herself how to be a gourmet cook; those invited for a meal were always eager for a piece of her famous cheesecake.
She is survived by her Daughter, Paige Gibson, Son, Mark (Sue) Davis, grandchildren, Jessica Hunsberger, Matthew Hunsberger, Ken (Emily) Davis, Glen (Christina) Davis, and Daniel (Alisha) Davis.
A visitation will be held at Faith Community Church on February 19, 2023 from 2pm-3pm. A memorial service will follow the time of visitation from 3pm - 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in memory of Sandra to Midwest Animal ResQ, a local animal rescue organization. This organization was instrumental to Sandra and provided her comfort by allowing her to have her beloved dogs as long as was possible. https://www.midwestanimalresq.org/donate.html
Sandra’s prayer for those reading this would be that they come to know the Lord. John 3:16 “For God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Please help celebrate the life of Sandra by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.
