Obituary for Rose L. Skinner
Rose Lucille Skinner 94, passed away April 19, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kansas City, KS on September 10, 1922 to Michael and Rose Berry. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96th Street, KCMO with visitation from 9:30 to 10:45, internment in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS following.

Rose (Lucille) graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1940 and married Walter James (Jim) Skinner. She enjoyed a long and fruitful marriage of 56 years and her chosen career as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her home was home to everyone who visited there. Rose was a devout Catholic and a prayer warrior for everyone she knew and many she didn't know.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim and daughter Susan Costello. Rose is survived by her children Janet (Dwane) Hunter, Linda Hodges, Patty Skinner, Jim (Liz) Skinner, Ron Skinner, Debbie Patmore and Gary (Angie) Skinner, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to Holy Family Church Building Fund or Catholic Charities.
