Ronnie Len Phillips, Jr., born August 7, 1984, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 29, 2023, at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Hospital.
Ronnie graduated from Oak Park High School where he enjoyed participating in wrestling and running track. After graduation, Ronnie joined the United States Navy. During his military enlistment Ronnie was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and Bahrain.
For 17 years, Ronnie worked alongside his father at Klemp Electric as an electric motor mechanic.
Ronnie is survived by his son Conner Phillips, who he shared a love of video games with.
He is also survived by his father and mother, Ron and Vivian Phillips, his sisters Jamie Braley and Lauren Vollrath, as well as many extended family members.
Proceeded in death by his birth mother Teresa Kilpatrick, Grandparents Donald, and Margaret Phillips, Grandfather Edward Sager and Uncles Don and Brian Phillips.
Ronnie will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
A service and Honor Guard salute will be held at Souder Family Funeral Home on January 20, 2024, at 2pm.
Immediately following the service, we invite all family and friends to join us for a reception at Kozaks Restaurant in Smithville MO.
