Obituary for Richard Paul Ham
Richard Ham, 57, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on August 20, 2018. He was born in Kansas City, KS, on May 4, 1961. He is survived by his children Melanie Lentz (Jason Lentz), Jacob Ham (Amber Ham) and Amanda Spencer whom he had with Michelle Curry Ham. Also, his grandchildren, Ayla Ham, Paige Spencer, Morgan Spencer, Owen Lentz, and Katherine Unger. He is also survived by his mother Judith Lane and stepfather Charles Lane. As well as his siblings and their spouses, Russ Ham (Cindy Yates), Ron Ham (Barb Ham), Randy Ham (Beth Ham), Tracy Griggs (Steve Griggs), and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd M. Ham. Grandparents, Floyd E. Ham and Vivian Ham, Annabelle Crow-Rozen and John Russell Crow.
Rick always had a smile for everyone he met. Beautiful blue eyes and signature wink that could get him out of any sticky situation. He had a love of hiking, camping and carving wood. Anything to do with the outdoors. He also loved J.R.R Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings. Neil Young was his hero. He had a huge heart and would help anyone that was in need. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandbabies. He was also an amazing storyteller. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Memorial services will be 6 PM Tuesday August 28th, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 4947 NE Chouteau Dr, Kansas City, MO 64119 with visitation from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.
