Obituary for Richard Samuel Robart
Richard Samuel Robart, 82, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. He was born March 7, 1934 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955. In 1955, Richard visited Japan on R&R, and God called him to return to Japan later as a missionary. Richard was a missionary in Japan from 1956 to 1979 under Grace Missions. He earned a degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois in 1969. Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis, of the home, one son, Daniel (Rachel) Robart, of Gladstone, Missouri, one daughter, Mary Sue (Dan) Reed, a missionary in Bolivia, twelve grand-children, five great-grandchildren, and numerous other extended family members. Services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Souder Family Funeral Home, 1333 NE Barry Road, KCMO. Visitation 10-11am, with the funeral following at 11am. Military honors will be performed at the funeral home, with interment at Leavenworth National Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.
