Paul was born on July 12, 1945 in Kansas City, KS to Guy and Helen Myers. He served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969, including a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam. For thirty years, Paul worked for Trans World Airlines, starting out on an aircraft cleaning crew and working a variety of jobs ranging from ticket agent to computer programmer. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts in 1994. He finished his career with TWA and went to work for Sprint also as a computer programmer. He retired from Sprint in 2010.
While in his teens, his older brother challenged him to study the Bible in depth. This was the beginning of his lifelong reverence of and love for the Word of God that led him to study Greek as a layman at Beth Haven Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He then taught Greek to others for many years, and published a commentary on Philemon. He has served as an elder at Beth Haven for eighteen years.
Paul enjoyed his retirement traveling with his wife, spending time with family and working on his hobbies: Photography and Model Railroading. He obtained his Master Model Railroader certificate in 2006. He enjoyed photographing trains, and family events.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Helen Myers, and his two sisters, Muriel and Ruth. Survivors include his wife, Marie, brothers Dennis (Polly) and Dwight (Nancy), and sister Carol, his son and daughter in law, Nathan and Selena, their children Lucas and McKenna, his daughters Jennifer, Cherie, his daughter and son in law Linda and Wayne, and their children Robin and Carrie and great granddaughter Nora.
