Obituary for Pamela Thornhill-Fox
Pamela E. Thornhill-Fox, 61, passed away January 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. There will not be any formal services but please help celebrate the life of Pam by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.

Formerly of Des Moines, Iowa

We have lost Pamela Thornhill-Fox. She left this earth to be with the Lord on January 27th, 2015 with her final days residing at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

Since 1990, Pamela was a 5 time breast cancer survivor; she was active with local cancer awareness groups and North Kansas City Hospital. Her final battle was with brain cancer.

She entered this world on March 8th, 1953, in Ames, Iowa, as the daughter of Billy and Martha of Blairsburg, IA, and sister to Michael and Richard Craig Thornhill.

Pamela's youth was spent on the northwest side of Des Moines where she attended Moore Elementary, Meredith Junior High, Hoover High School, and following her family's move to West Des Moines in 1969, marched with the Des Moines Stepparents and graduated from Valley High School in 1971 and continued on to Waldorf College in Forest City, IA.

Following school, she worked in the Iowa Methodist Medical Center Emergency Care unit, in Des Moines.

In 1976, Pamela moved to Maui, HI., married Peter Heen, returning to Des Moines in 1982 where she met her future husband, Phil Fox, also from Des Moines.

Pamela relocated to Kansas City, MO in 1995 where she joined Phil, and fulfilled her life-long dream of owning a Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio and turned this venture into an award winning business.

Her brother, Richard Craig, resided in San Diego enduring Multiple Sclerosis for thirty- seven years and passing in July of 2010 from myeloid leukemia.

Pamela is survived by her husband of 32 years, Phil Fox, her step daughters Amanda & Wendy; nieces Kelly Kreueger, Sarah Fox, Jessica Fox, her parents, Martha and Billy, her older brother, Michael and sister-in-law Janie Wardlow of San Diego.

Other extended family members reside in West Virginia and Maryland.
