Opal P. Tanner, 90 formerly of Van Buren passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 in Kansas City, Mo. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and was a longtime resident of Crawford County. She was of the Assembly of God Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Tanner, Sr. and one grandson Brandon Tanner.
Funeral services will be 10AM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Gracelawn Cemetery Arbor in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by one daughter Jo Anne Spencer and her husband Herb of Lincoln, AR; three sons James Tanner, Jr. and his wife Karen of Fort Smith, Dee Roy Tanner and his wife Shirley of Smithville, Mo, Steve Tanner and his wife Beanne of Atkins, AR; four sisters Juanita Key of Kibler, AR, Ruby Roberts of Atlanta, GA, Jean Richman of Newcastle, OK, Sue Kear of Muldrow, OK; nine grandchildren, , Lisa Knorr, Carla Keck, Cresha Sweeden, Cristi Carpenter, Bobby, Blake, Jamie, Zane, and Keith Tanner; twenty seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren .
