Obituary for Myrl W Perkins
Myrl Wayne Perkins went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2020.

Myrl was born on November 25, 1928 in Dixon, Missouri, to Lewis and Pebbles Perkins. He grew up in Dixon, MO, spending time with his two brothers and two sisters.

Later in life, Myrl met the love of his life, Betty Wagschal, and they married May 30, 1953. They had two sons David and Craig Perkins. Eventually a few years later they would move from St. Louis, MO to Oklahoma where they raised their family. Myrl worked as a truck driver for 10 years with Lee Way Motor Freight and then went on to retire as a business agent with Teamsters Local 886.

Myrl and Betty were both very active in their church at Church of the Savior in Warr Acres, OK. They were married for 53 years.

Myrl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, for which family was the most important to him.
Myrl is survived by his two sons, David Perkins of Edmond, OK and Craig Perkins of Kansas City, MO. Six grandchildren, Stephanie Smith and husband Rick of Guthrie, OK, Stephen Perkins and wife Amy of Mustang, OK, Grant Perkins of Kansas City, MO, Tanner, Zachary and Chance Perkins of OKC, OK. Three great-grandsons, Stone, Dalton and Ruger, sister Mary-Ruth York, and brother Freddie Perkins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Perkins, sister Ann Newby and brother Bob Perkins.
