Obituary for Melvin Elmer Wisner
Melvin Wisner, 93 passed away August 9, 2015. Graveside services will be 11 AM Friday August 14, 2015 At Mt Moriah Freeman Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the VA Hospital or the Diabetes Association. Survivors include his children; Lindann King and Rick Wisner; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Melvin was born September 18, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents were George and Lillie Wisner Melvin had 1 sister Evelyn,4 brothers Gail,LeRoy,Leonard and Gordan. Melvin enlisted into US Marines July 6, 1942 and was discharged July 11, 1946. He married Beulah April 20, 1947 and were married for 58 years. Melvin and Beulah had four children: Lindann, Stephen, Rick and Danny. Sadly Stephen and Danny preceded Melvin in death--Stephen as a young baby and Danny as a young man. Lindann and Guy blessed them with two grandchildren- Robert and Steve. Rick added two more with Tarah and Bryan. Danny's baby, Danny Jo, died in infancy. The family tree grew even larger when eight great-grandchildren were added. Melvin worked for Electronic Business Systems for many years before retiring.
