Obituary for Marlon Dale Brown

Marlon Dale Brown-63

Kansas City, Missouri

August 16, 1961-March 21, 2025

Marlon was born in Mankato, MN to Kenneth and Evelyn Brown. Marlon grew up on the lake in Madison Lake, MN where he loved to fish, snowmobile, hunt and trap, and enjoy life as a lake kid. At the age of 15 Marlon and his family moved to Texas for a few short months before settling in Elk City, Oklahoma. Marlon loved fast cars, he loved to work on them as well as race them all over town, as he was especially fond of his 69 and 72 Ford Mustangs. Around the age of 19, Marlon began working in the oil field with his dad, which started as a rehabilitation from a bad motorcycle accident at 18 years old. He worked in the oil field for approximately seven years as a derrick hand in which he was very proud of how fast and strong he was.

After the oil field slowed down and odds and ends jobs, Marlon began his career as a truck driver in which he retired in September 2024, after 39 years. While Marlon was driving for Walmart he met the love of his life Paula where they began their love of 18 years together.

Marlon was very much a family man. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved to fish and hunt and just spend time doing anything outdoors.

Marlon is survived by his wife Paula, a son Jesse (Mariia) Brown of Kansas City, a daughter Ashley (Tyler) Withington of Kansas City, six grandchildren Madisyn, Taven, Jacksen, Ashton, Addison, and Alexander , brothers Jeff (Carma) Brown, Mike Brown, and Ted (Jill) Brown, a sister Cindy (Steve) Allen, best friend Dennis (Jodie) Sharum, along with in-laws, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Marlon is proceeded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Brown, and brother Kenneth Brown Jr.

A Celebration of life will be at their farm where Marlon was most at peace on April 5th, 2025, 1pm.

Any cards and donations can be made to his wife Paula Brown. Email for address at p2015olympics@icloud.com
