Maisie Isabel Smith, 2, passed away November 23, 2022. Maisie was born at 11:50pm on October 4, 2020 at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, KS. Maisie was brought home to Independence, MO and later lived in the Northland area of Kansas City, MO with her mom, dad, brother, and pets.
Maisie was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on April 1st, 2022. She fought valiantly and was cared for by the amazing doctors, nurses and other medical professionals at Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Maisie’s life was full of smiles, laughs, and adventures. She loved evening walks, splashing in water puddles, dancing to music, coloring pictures, giving high-fives, kisses, fist bumps and picking boogers!
She absolutely loved cats and will always be remembered for saying, “meow.”
Survivors include her parents, Kayla Smith (Triplett) and Jadon Smith; brother, Wyatt Smith; maternal grandparents, Beverly Triplett (Layne) and Johnny Ray Triplett – Grammy & Pap; paternal grandparents, Julie Corallo (Huff) and Tony Corallo – Grandma and Grandpa; great grandparents, Carrie Layne, Mary and Wally Smith, and Leah Persons; aunts and Uncles, Sarah and Kyle, Bri Corallo, Keenan, Tobin, Talia, Traesa, and Bria; cousins: Parker and Axton; cats, Jables and Sameen; and a host of lovies that were well taken care of and loved by Maisie.
Maisie especially loved her big brother, Wyatt.
She will be remembered always and her life will be celebrated forevermore.
