Obituary for Luke Aaron Sickman
Luke Aaron Sickman, 38, passed away Monday September 20, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday September 27, 2021 at Faith Community Church Chapel with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Faith Community Church benevolent fund.
Luke was born July 4, 1983 in Kansas City, KS. He attended Winnetonka High School his junior year and graduated that year after being home schooled for four years. He accepted his salvation while attending River of Life Church and was baptized the 2nd November, 1997 which was an amazing day because his sister, Courtney and dad Mike were baptized the same day.
Luke struggled with many health issues. He was born with a rare skin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa which there is no cure, so he was in constant pain. He also had cancer when he was 18. He was diagnosed with Bipolar soon after that and it progressed throughout his life.
He was extremely talented as a journeyman electrician, keyboard and guitar musician, and a gifted photographer/videographer.
Luke loved his family and is survived by his parents, Michael and Janice Sickman, Pleasant Valley, Missouri; two brothers Bob Gulley of DeSoto, Kansas, and Mark Gulley of DeSoto, Kansas; sister, Courtney Sickman of Kansas City, Missouri, two sister-in-laws, and 2 nephews and 3-nieces.
Please help celebrate the life of Luke by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.
