Obituary for Leah Gladean Higgins
LEAH GLADEAN HIGGINS
Gladean Higgins, 88, Kansas City, MO passed away September 6, 2013 at New Mark Care Center, Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Monday September 9, 2013 at Gashland Baptist Church with a visitation from 11:0 0-12:00 PM. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army. Gladean retired from the VFW in 1990. She loved to travel with her husband Chuck and together they visited sixty-six Countries, many of them more than once. She also had an extensive clown collection that included clowns from their travels around the world. Survivors include her husband, Chuck Higgins; son, Richard Easterday; daughter, Cheryl (Phil) Zeller; sister, Fern McMullin; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve and Keith Broughton.
