He especially loved eating out and traveling and he had a life full of both. One of his favorite places to be was at the ball field, watching his "boys" (nephews) play baseball and football. He was the bat boy for many years on their little league teams and he was their loudest cheerleader. His love for hamburgers and ice cream were legendary, earning him the endearment of, "Wimpy" from his father. John faced many hurdles in his life and he exceeded all expectations with dignity and a tremendous joy for life and an unconditional love for people. He never met a stranger and brought a smile to everyone he met. His love for dancing never ended, even if it was a shoulder wiggle from his wheelchair, if his favorite music was playing John was dancing.
