Obituary for Jennifer Paige Chiles
Jennifer Paige Chiles passed away Friday, March 12, 2021. Paige was born on February 3, 1957 to Dr. David R. and Mary Lee Chiles at the Smithville Community Hospital, Smithville, MO.
She grew up in Smithville and spent many happy family vacations on the shores of Lake Michigan. Paige loved the sun!
After high school Paige earned an associate’s degree and worked for forty years as a medical assistant. She made a difference in many patients’ lives.
Paige and her partner, Brian Redmond spent many happy hours on their back deck watching and photographing wildlife that lived in the woods behind their home. She especially enjoyed the spring fawns and the fall bucks. A favorite activity was “Deer and Beer” cookouts with three generations of the Redmond family in the back yard.
Paige was our family “porcupine”. She could be prickly on the outside but once you got past the sharps, a soft warm underbelly awaited.
Paige is survived by her partner and best friend, Brian Redmond; his children, Zack Redmond (Lindsey), Ashley Redmond Burnett (Luiz); and those grandkids, Cayden, Eli, Ava, and Niko. Also surviving is her son, Perrin Chiles Carrell (Michelle) and all her siblings, Patton Chiles, Perrin Riggs (Rick), Penny Chiles, Paula Chiles (Doug) and her brother Dave Chiles (Cheryl).
