Obituary for Jack Forson
Jack W. Forson, 81, Gladstone, MO a Korean War Veteran, passed away on September 27, 2013 at North Care Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was proceeded in death by his father, Jack G. Forson; mother, Mabel Ola Forson; brothers David and Van Lewis Forson; sister, Janice Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Faye Forson; sons, James and Karen Forson and Gregory and Tracy Forson; daughters Karen and Don Volgelsberg, Lori and Jerry Anderson and Susan Forson and David Moss; 14 grandchildren, Dawn and Robert Ledford, Kristi Henderson, Andrea Vogelsberg, Jennifer Greener, Leslie and Jordan Jerore, James Forson, David Forson, Isaaic Luttrell. Kayla Forson. Katelyn Forson, Joshua Luttrell and Sarah Luttrell; 11 great-grandchildren, Hannah Ledford, Mya Martin, Clayton Ledford, Brooklyn Ledford, Jordon Harrison, Braylon Harrison, Austin Ledford, Zavier Toliver and Kailyn Creason, Avri Luttell and Kaydence Luttrell.
Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather always putting his family first. His passing will leave a void in our hearts. We all feel very blessed to have had him as a husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and telling stories about his children and grandchildren. Jack retired in 1994 from Goens Brothers Painting.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Souder Family Funeral Home 1333 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City, MO, burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
