Obituary for Irene I. Duffy
Irene Ivalue Duffy passed away peacefully surrounded by her family November 1, 2017. Irene was born October 26, 1925Â in Jamison, Missouri and married her soulmate Walter Edward Duffy in Eagleville, Missouri on December 14, 1941.
Irene lived life to the fullest. She spent her career working at Sears as an auditor and when she retired, Irene and Walter traveled to every state in the U.S. She loved playing the slots, bowling, square dancing and The Chiefs. Most of all Irene loved and enjoyed her 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and son in law, Michael. She leaves behind her son, Edward and his wife, Traci. Her daughter, Patricia Duffy Oswald. Grandchildren, Jordan Oswald and Andrea Oswald Gilb, her husband Ryan and their daughter, Charlotte.
A celebration of Life service will be 11:00 AM Friday November 3, 2017 at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Good Shepherd United Methodist church, where she attended, or their food pantry, A Turning Point. www.aturningpointkc.org/donate.
