Ilona Gisela Moffitt passed away Tuesday August 27, 2024 in Kansas City, MO.
Married on July 13, 1963 at 2pm at the Grace Lutheran Church in Palo Alto, California. The wedded couple Honeymooned in Carmel, California. Ilona Gisela Moffitt was born May 6, 1943 in Wiesbaden, Germany. Her parents were Ilse Buscher and Ernst Herget. She graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College in 1974 with her LPN degree. She worked at several Hospitals and Nursing facilities throughout her 45 year career. She was employed at Healdsburg General Hospital, Excelsior Springs Hospital, Smithville Hospital, Liberty Hospital, North Kansas City Hospital, Research Hospital and Ashton Court Rehabilitation.
She was an avid lover of classical ballet and danced as a ballerina at a young age in Wiesbaden where she was born. She moved to the United States in her teens and graduated High School at Cubberly High in Palo Alto, California. She loved traveling with her family and spending time with her children going to the movies. She enjoyed hosting Holiday Dinners and had a special touch of making sure everything was perfect. She never forgot a Birthday and sent cards for all the holidays to her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arden James Moffitt; father, Ernst Herget: mother, Ilse Buscher and stepfather Donald Geranen. She leaves behind her son, Michael James Moffitt and wife Kellie of Kansas City, Mo and daughter Christine Gisela Heddings and husband David of Carrollton, Mo. Also grandchildren, Siara Nicole Weisz and husband Stephen of Hardin, MO and Camerron Alllen Carmack of Norborne, Mo as well as four Great Grannd children Logan, Scarlett, Everly and Mylah Weisz of Hardin, Mo.
