Helen O. Nixon, 91 of Kansas City, MO, died on March 28, 2020.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her adoring husband of 69 years,
Leonid T. Nixon, precious daughters Nancy Larrick, Patricia Sidener (Bruce),
Rebecca Sidener, three grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, two
great-great-grandchildren, her loving sister Martha Musee, and many nieces
and nephews.
Helen was a homemaker who diligently cared for her family and who touched
many lives. She was a meticulous worker and loved gardening, art, music,
Frank Sinatra, and Engelbert Humperdinck. She was politically astute, was a
gifted poet, had a terrific sense of humor, and a smile that lit up the room.
Helen was a beautiful, elegant lady who loved cooking and creating awesome
meals. She was the "Mom" that her children's friends loved to meet and be around.
She will always be remembered for making people feel special with her small acts
of kindness. The sacrifice and support that she showed her kids will ever be
appreciated and never forgotten. (Your Little Trooper)
Helen put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her Saviour, and the Lord
sustained her through the trials and tribulations in her life.
We miss our Honey, Sweetheart, Darling, Mother, Mom, Ma, Momma, Mommo,
Mommy, Nana, Grandma, Aunt, and Sestra, but we know that she is now singing
with the angels in heaven.
Private burial.
