Obituary for Glenn Thomas Gregory
Glenn passed away 08/17/2021 at his home in Warsaw Mo.
He was born on January 10, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the third of six children. He attended Saint Mary’s High School in Independence MO and joined the US Army in 1986. He started his military career at Fort Benning, GA. His military career led him to travel in the United States and overseas. He was stationed at Fort Hood TX and Fort Drum, NY. He also spent several years at bases in Germany and Korea. Glenn loved his country and cherished the friendships he made during his time of service.
As a person, Glenn could be hard to describe. More comfortable behind the scenes than center stage, he was shy and sensitive, yet very fun-loving. Glenn had a quirky personality; he was always quick-witted and could easily respond to others with loving sarcasm. Loving is something he did with his whole self. He loved his family and friends with all his heart--a heart he wore on his sleeve.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father William Gregory, his stepfather Jimmie Chapin, his mother Carol Chapin and oldest brother Vernon (Chris) Gregory.
He is survived by his siblings Mark (Sendy) Gregory, Murfreesboro, TN; Theresa (Tony) Baker, Kansas City, MO; Angela Rose, Mosby, MO; and Mark (Tara) Chapin, Willard, MO, 2 nieces and 2 nephews as well as a large extended family.
Memorial services with military honors will be 11:30 AM Saturday September 4, 2021 at Souder Family Funeral home with a visitation from 11-11:30AM.
Please help celebrate the life of Glenn by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.
