Fred Juhnke of Liberty, MO passed away on May 5, 2023 at the age of 77. Fred was born on September 30, 1945 in Halstead, KS to Carl and Bertha Juhnke. Fred married the love of his life, Joyce, in 1966 and shared 57 years of marriage together. Fred was a building contractor in Hutchinson, KS before he moved to Kansas City to enter the ministry. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Calvary Bible College with a BA in Biblical languages. Fred served the Lord faithfully as a pastor for over 40 years. Apart from the incredible impact he had upon his family, Fred literally ministered to hundreds, if not thousands of people through his radio ministry, Thy Word is Truth. While we rejoice that Fred is in heaven with his Savior, he leaves a massive hole in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bertha. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his sister Carol (Dennis) Landis; two sons, Tim (Lori) and Mike (Mindy); 19 grandchildren, Caleb (Whitney), Seth (Samantha), Micah (Jaime), Levi (Regan), Isaac, Judson, Luke, Rebekah, John Mark, Kodi, Rachel, Wyatt, Wesley, Mary Beth, Joanna, Juliana, Susanna, Janey, Lucy. 13 great grandchildren Ruth, Faith, Macarthur, Thaddeus, Piper, Jonah, Charlotte, Hadley, Jedidiah, Emery, and soon to be Joshua and Adeline (twins due in August), and one more on the way (January 2024).
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and the funeral at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church, 3700 NE Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64156.
