Obituary for Donald E Davis
Donald E. Davis (90), of Gladstone, MO, was born in Chicago, IL on November 20, 1929. Don went home to be with our Lord on August 13, 2020. He is survived by his wife of many years, Sandra Davis (Omaha); son Mark Davis (Sue) of Marietta, GA; grandsons Kenneth Davis, (Emily) of Decatur, GA; Glen Davis (Christina) & daughters, Ella & Gemma of Marietta, GA; Daniel Davis (Alisha), & children, Lexie, Axel and Paxton of Kennesaw, GA; daughter Paige Gibson (Gary) of Denver; and Paige’s daughter Jessica Hunsberger and son Matthew Hunsberger of Kansas City, MO, and his sister Patricia Davis of Ambler, PA.
Don came to know our Lord in 1975 and has been a strong believer ever since. His personal mission was to speak to as many people as possible about his faith. His sense of humor was his icebreaker, including the first time he met Sue, his daughter-in-law, when he found numerous ways to tease her. It made her feel accepted and right at home as she came from a large family filled with joking, humor, and also a love for God. This was Don’s inimitable style with everyone he met, which endeared him to them as he spoke of God’s love and eternal promise. Don will be dearly missed, but our loss is heaven’s gain as we know God greeted him with “Well done good and faithful servant” as he entered heaven’s gates.
