Corrin Hoover Meek
Corrin Hoover Meek was born to William Clyde and Eddie Jane Hoover in Florence, Arkansas on April 24, 1922 . She married Robert Woodrow Meek of Monticello, Arkansas on December 31, 1939. They lived in Monticello and Pine Bluff, Arkansas as well as Memphis, Tennesee where their son was born. Robert’s job with the airlines took the family to Lombard, Illinois and to Kansas City, Missouri where they resided for twenty three years after which they retired to Monticello, Arkansas.
Corrin was a devout Christian having committed her life to Jesus in her teen years. A dedicated church member, she worked in Sunday School, VBS, and Training Union and remained faithful in her attendance as long as she was physically able to do so.
She enjoyed RVing, playing SkipBo and dominoes, gardening, baking and a variety of handwork including crochet, embroidery, needlepoint and quilting. Her chocolate chip cookies and “scrubbies” were enjoyed by many.
