Antonio "Tone" Juan McCullough 23, of Kansas City, Mo, passed away on 09/12/0225 in South Padre Island. Born on 09/21/2001 in Kansas City, Kansas, Antonio McCullough was a beloved son, father, brother, cousin, nephew and friend whose life reflected strength, faith and joy. He was the cherished son of Elbert A. McCullough and Julie Nava who installed in him values of perseverance, family and faith. Antionio lived a full and rewarding life, touching the hearts of all who knew them.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Verlee and Bobby McCullough, his Grandpa Juan G Nava, Auntie Jenna Lynn Nava. Antonio is survived by his precious daughter Paris 1yr old, his significant other and mother of his child Paradise Washington, his 5 siblings Isaac Nava, Elbert McCullough Jr, Gabriale McCullough, Angelina McCullough and Leonna McCullough and his Niece Luna Nava and Nephew Jason Nava. His Grandma Luz M. Nava with many aunts and Uncles and a gang of Cousins.
A gifted athlete, Antonio excelled in track, basketball, and football, carrying his passion and determination onto every field and court he touched. His competitive spirit was matched only by his perseverance.
In 2020, Antonio was diagnosed with cancer. With unwavering courage and faith, he fought through the hardest battle of his life, emerging victorious and entering remission. His triumph over illness was a testament to his strength and resilience, inspiring everyone who knew him.
Beyond athletics and personal battles, Antonio found his greatest purpose in faith. Saved and renewed, he devoted his life to spreading the word of God, sharing hope, encouragement, and light with all he encountered. His testimony touched countless lives and will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to hear it.
Antonio’s greatest joy came when he became a father to his beautiful daughter, Paris. She was his pride, his inspiration, and the center of his happiness. His love for her radiated in everything he did, and the bond they shared was one of the truest expressions of his heart.
Antonio will be remembered for his courage, his faith, his laughter, and above all, his love. His legacy of strength, devotion, and joy will continue to shine brightly through his daughter and all who were fortunate to know him.
Memorial Service
A memorial service will be held in Antonio’s honor on Sunday, September 21, 2025, which would have been his birthday, at Souder Family Funeral Home, 1333 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City, Missouri
