In the early morning hours on June 15, 2021, Anna Marie Knudsen Minnick, born on December 20, 1942, in Hastings Nebraska, passed away. Anna Marie was surrounded by her family.
Anna Marie suffered extensively with health issues beginning in childhood. She was one of the longest living kidney transplant survivors in the United States. Her kidney was lovingly donated to her by her sister Dedi on January 7, 1977. Despite a life of agonizing physical hardship, she never complained. She attributed her strength and positive outlook to her strong belief in God and Jesus Christ. Her faith and ability to endure was an inspiration to many people over the course of her life.
Anna Marie is survived by her (3) children, Tommy, Holly and Brady Minnick, her brother, Robert Knudsen, her sister, Dedi Fitzner, (5) grandchildren, (2) great grand children and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family will be having a private memorial service. In lieu of cards or flowers, please consider a donation to the American Kidney Foundation.
Please help celebrate the life of Anna Marie by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.
