Obituary for Amanda Michelle Wilson
Amanda Michelle Wilson, 25, of Gladstone, Mo. died on June 2, 2014, from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident, on June 1 on I-35 near Holt, Mo. A rosary will be recited by the Rev. Justin Hoye from Saint Patrick Catholic Church at 5:30 p.m., Friday, June 6 at Souder Family Funeral Home, 1333 NE Barry Rd., Kansas City, Mo. 64155, followed by visitation until 8 p.m. A service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 7 at Liberty Christian Fellowship, officiated by Drew Mathews, 1815 W Liberty Dr, Liberty, Mo. 64068. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the funeral fund ℅ Souder Family Funeral Home. Amanda was born on Sept. 2, 1988 in Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Saint Pius X Catholic High School and attended Missouri Western State University. She owned and operated “On the Spot Nutrition Club”, an Herbalife store in Chillicothe, Mo., where she found great friends, customers as well as a peace and comfort in life that she hadn’t previously experienced. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Marge and Frank Denes; Uncle Mark; Aunt Janet; cousin Debbie; and paternal Aunt Diana. She is survived by parents Michelle Denes Wilson and Philip Wilson; siblings Patrick Miller, Margie (Sean), Stellajean, Claira and paternal grandparents Louise and Ralph Wilson of Chillicothe, Mo. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Amanda chose to continue her life with the donation of her tissue and organs to those in need through the Midwest Transplant Network. A mass of special intention for Amanda will be held at St. Columban Catholic Church in Chillicothe, Mo. at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, with a reception following. "We would like to thank the staff of Liberty Hospital's ICU as well as the doctors and the members of Midwest Transplant Network."
