Obituary for Susan Thompson
Susan A. (Waller) Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 56. On May 30, 1987, she married Timothy Thompson. He survives the home. Susan is also survived by her sons, Michael Thompson and Ryan Thompson of Kansas City; her sisters, Kathy (Barney) Klassen of Kansas City, Missouri and Marjorie (Don) Kretzer of Houston, Texas; her brothers, Eddie (Susan) Waller and Sam (Iris) Waller of St. Joseph, Missouri; sister-in-law Cathy Shorter of Houston, Texas; and 15 nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her parents James and Dorothy Waller, her sister Shirley Waller, and her brother-in-law Tony Thompson. Susan graduated from Bishop LeBlond High school in St. Joseph. She also formerly lived in Houston, Texas. Susan worked at Continental and United Airlines for 32 years. She loved family gatherings, traveling and was very active in her church, Holy Family Parish in Kansas City. Services for Susan Thompson will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Holy Family Church, 919 NE 96th St., Kansas City, Missouri with a visitation from 9 to 11 AM and a funeral mass beginning at 11 AM. Graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph Missouri. Arrangements are being made by Souders Family Funeral Home, 1333 NE Barry Rd., Kansas City, Missouri.
